the answer is simple - no one going on to year twelve cared about the school certificate. well, i don't know anyone who did. i didn't even finish my geography SC test, i left and went to mcdonalds!

in the SC i got:
english 98
maths 89
geography can't remember but band 2
history band 4
science band 4

in the HSC i got all band 6 and a UAI above 97.

I remember a lot of people being annoyed about missing out a question in science... and I realised I hadn't done it either. I know it's sad but I do remember them describing the question as asking you to draw a table and you had to categorise which things from a list were abiotic and which were biotic... and I was spewing cause it seemed easy.

I haven't been dwelling on it for the past two years if that's what you mean lol! When I read the post I just remembered, that's all. When you stuff up a question (especially worth so many marks) you are more likely to remember it imo. I can't remember any other questions from the SC.

Besides, it's not that important. I just remember- no big deal!

SC - 3 band 5's(Eng, Geog,Science), 2 band 4's (Maths, History)
HSC - 1 band 6(Ind. Tech), 2 band 5's(Pe n Bio), 2 band 4's(maths n english)

I would of got band 5 in english if i hadn't of had a massive panic attack on the day of the 1st exam and other then that I think my reults reflected how much I liked the subject or in maths case the teacher. I seriously think if my maths teacher had of been different I would have achieved a band 5 for that also.

For my SC results (i did the SC this year) i got practically the same as you (except maths and english were the opposite bands) and im doing practically the same subjects as u for 11+12 (maths, english, pe + bio, as well as chem and ag) so im wondering if i'll get the same HSC results as u...

Also, i know if i dont have a good teacher, i won't go as well as if i had a good teacher. :(

lol, year 12 is completely different to year 10... year 10 is natural ability... year 12 takes a bit more work.
English in the SC was much better then my english in the HSC like a 9/10 point difference.. even though I put in twice as much work for my HSC english exam, which still wasn't much work.. but yeah I dunno... you'll prolly do better then me cause I didn't try to hard... HAHA i cried b4 every hsc exam cause i didn't study enough. I always paid attention in class but I think that's what helped me
