I wasn't sure how necessary that was to not only the narrative but the underlying message of the novel.Well its about a young girl dying. Still, it wasn't a bad novel but I wouldn't call it an epic by any stretch of the imagination. It wasn't trash but I wouldn't call it quality literary fiction.
