Average Length of Business Reports & Essays? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

I was wondering, how long on average are your business reports and essays (under exam conditions, like how many exam booklets do you write). I'm having a bit of trouble working out how much is too much and how much is too superficial for a report and essay, and yes I know it's quality over quantity.

To be honest with you, what you said in your last sentence is exactly that, quality over quantity.

I got a band 6 for business last yr and from memory did a booklet for each essay and report, my writing was small, however i had good content.

Even though quality > quantity. You gotta have decent quantity.

I write about 1200 words for Business Report and about 1400 words for "Essay".

Yer ur right it has to be decent, and thats expected if you have good content it needs to be fleshed out well enough to obtain a good mark. but yer what ur writing in terms of quantity seems to be about right.

Yeah, it's because although I usually get 19s and 20s for my essays, I find they are a bit too long compared to everyone else - that's why I wanted to ask everyone for a rough idea.
