Well obviously the raw mark difference between 80 and 90 scaled would be much lower than between 90 and say 97. So we cannot use a linear graph to accurately predict what raw marks would scale to 97, but we can assume it to be around 93-95%, if we consider the graph to be a logarithmic function.
Do swap this word to align; it'll help lessen the confusion between aligning ad scaling :)

might of been an easy exam?
