We should honestly, revolt, and go to the media.

Dead serious, not even close to kidding, cross my heart.

If 2 texts was going to be marked the same as one text, they should have said 1 or 2 related text. Or 'at least 1'.

Get FUCKED.
Do you know what's REALLY retarded? Someone bringing in external paper into their English exam..

oh yes I did!

The one related text thing helped me heaps because I was unprepared and only had one text in significant detail. I guess that's why i'm not crying.

Otherwise I just don't mind if a couple thousand more people get 12/15 rather than 11.

Sorry if I've missed something here.. but that's about a Religion question, isn't it?
Yeha, it's about SOR.

read this and go f your self who ever you are:

*insert article which i removed because it's long*

source smh
posted 5 days ago it was made on purpose board is not going to do a typo such as forgetting at least when for the past 8 years i saw in capital letters at least .
Adam's a nice guy, leave him alone. And he's right, the HSC isn't about memorising.

It was not a typo - they've asked for only one rather than 2 or at least one before.

OP is being ridiculously misinformed.
Makes me mad that so many people are having a cry because they didn't read the question. It was in BOLD CAPS people. Pretty hard to miss IMO.
Actually...most of them READ the question..and guess what? they didnt have enough info on ONE so they just added in the second to make their essay look ' normal sized' .

'I know! i can just write irrelevant impertinent crap even though the question does not ask for it and the marker will think i know it all' ! hurray'

lol ' insight'..No. When it specified ONE, it meant ONE and not 'atleast one'. Markers are certainly not going to take the question as 'atleast one ' cause that is the most ridiculous thing iv ever heard .

"It ends up being a normal essay for section III ". Again..no. They expected you to write a LOT on ONE supp text and if you wrote two...that would mean you surely did not write ' a lot '. In chem if they ask u to talk about ONE radioisotope ..question worth 4 marks...and you end up writing 2 of em....will they take both into consideration? No. They take one. This is how it is normally and this is how it should be ...but you never know with these english teachers..
Your a TROLL.
Read what your writing and try to appeal to your logos (if you have any). They are not penalising students for doing 2 supp texts, meaning that bullcrap about "depth of knowledge of one text" does not exist. Also, if you are not penalised for doing one text and it is marked the same - then obviously you have greater ability to show your insight about belonging. Next, I am saying that the question is being marked as though it asked us for "at least ONE text" not that the question had actually been changed you idiot. They don't care if you did one or two - it will be marked the same. Finally, this is not chemistry, this is English. So who gives two shits about a radioisotope question - take that gibberish elsewhere. You are just like the members of the examination team this year - a steel-brained neanderthal.

You're a TROLL.
It sounds like you were much more successful as a troll. ie. make a claim about marking guidelines while failing to reference any credible source or receive a single post to support your allegations.

no. what da article is saying is that the fact they have made the question different is to change and create an exam that prevents memorisation. although the religion paper is of most importance in this article it began with reference to also the English paper, board of studies is trying to challenge us which is needed, to differentiate students, this is the first year were students are comming out of an examination sayin the trials were easier. The aos paper had many elements to it that created a distinction from past papers, section 2 was so specific in its question and section 3 asked us to be specific thorough reference to one text.

2008 paper aos said two texts, i dought they allowed those who had 3 text to get away with it, this year they went as far as saying one text, this english yr 12 a ear before uni, you need to listen and understand instructions and work accordingly.
So was the article supporting the idea that only one related text is marked? Or supporting what the OP said?

1) im pretty sure you do not know what the word TROLL means lol
2)You are saying--question will be marked as if it is AT LEAST ONE TEXT . What i have already posted, but you misinterpreted, is that they will NOT take the question as if it was AT LEAST one text cause that is ridiculous.
3)Be it chemistry maths english or bio...your aim should be to answer the question with relevant information..not unnecessary garbage. I repeat : unnecessary.

It said ONE related text. If you used two, you should only be marked for the first one you used, and - therefore - your essay is shortened.
If enough people break a rule, the markers are pretty much forced to 'change the rule' in order to bring in roughly the same no. of band 6/5/4 etc as the year before. You can't have an entire year fucking up an important response and all receiving band 4's simply because it wasn't written clearly.

At least, that's what my english teacher told me.

OMFG, people are still going on about this one text/two text thing.

GO BUILD A BRIDGE AND GET THE FUCK OVER IT.

Seriously, who cares, whats done is done, you can't change anything by ranting on BoS, you're just wasting time, something that could be better utilised for STUDYING (I hear it's useful for the HSC!)

My teacher is a marker. They were briefed yesterday and told that 2 supplementary texts will be marked normally, with no penalities. Each of the supp texts will be considered.
This is complete bullshit. How is English even considered a real subject, if you can blatantly ignore the question and the markers don't care. You would be marked down in any other subject for not answering the question. I still doubt whether this is true though, why would the bored of studies deliberately trip up the people with prepared answers, and then back down because it worked too well?

Couldnt have said it better. Yet the op fails to understand this.
