LOL i just realised the answer for this now.. but i'm not 100% sure if i'm going at this the right way.. but its probably something along the lines of.. water is polar and ethanol is a universal solvent.. therefore if water dissolves polar (like dissolves like) and ethanol dissolves everything... so... yea.... there
