I write 3-4 words per line and on every 2nd line otherwise it doesn't fit.

That seems like pretty big font.

Don't judge by page count, judge by word count. If you're writing the same amount as everyone else but in less pages then there's nothing wrong.

Also, the exam booklets are ridiculously spaced.

You should be fine if you just be concise and answer the question. Do not waffle on needlessly. If you sufficiently addressed all the required components for the specified question then you should get the marks regardless of how much you write.
