Yeah as the thread title says, which months do most retail shops (big and small) generally hire people for casual or part time work?

October-December for xmas casuals.

But generally all year round as long as they need staff

Late October - Mid November & Late March- Mid April are the usual periods

Wouldn't bother. Places already have their christmas staff and won't need anybody till a bit later on this/next year.

very very unlikely. wait until feb when a lot of casuals may resign for school/uni etc.
