I'll be doing Bachelor of Engineering. Can anyone comment on the typical load I'll be lugging? It's the deciding factor on the above bags.

I'd ask on whirlpool, but with such a trivial question, they'd laugh at my face more than anyone here would.

I'd say about 10 textbooks per day, so you better get something tuff.
btw they do sell nike in more than one shop

Alright, I'll take that into consideration. But the first few days, of course, will be going light. Don't wanna buy a huge bag with nothing to fill it.

As for the Nike bag I posted, it's a kinda one-off edition of a standard bag - so I'm not likely to find that bag anywhere else, now. Especially not in Australia, anyway...

I used country road for the past 3 years and its starting to look yucky (it was grey).... i use backpacks but the one from uni is starting to fall apart... i was thinking of going into rebel sport or getting one from lorna jane...

I work in surf retail, and surf brands do make satchels in fabric materials, not just the leather look ones. My shop stocked Roxy and Quiksilver ones, but we're all sold out. This time of year is crazy for back to school stuff.

I use a big Handbag for uni mostly. I used to use a backpack and i still do when i have metal work or wood work. I find that backpacks are a pain to get my wallet out for my train ticket

As for me, I'm using a Volcom backpack, it fits everything and it's made out of some tough unrippable material.
