I probably just end up getting a Macbook Pro. They have an extreme price tag attached but I really want the OSX software.

Either that, or I could use a version of Windows and Linux, simultaneously :)
It's an extra couple of hundred. If you want OS X, but a mac, it's not a decision you'll regret. OSX86 is unstable as all fuck, and you don't want to spend hours cruising the web for a fix every time an update breaks your system.

Have you considered a MacBook? It'd last you much longer, and frankly, I find them to be better value for money.

Dead serious. Mine is from December 2007, and it still runs like day one, even though it's loaded with so much crap that's been building up since then.

Does a PC do that? No, it needs a reformat every year, minimum, to at least stay stable anrough to not BSoD every day or two as the PC laptop does..
