tbh israel fucked up by using lethal force though they clearly incited it the fucking sand terrorists. oh let's do something which we know will cause retaliation from israel and then try kill their troops when they board our ship

Zip lining into a boat full of people without telling them is asking for trouble.
They didn't do it without telling them. They were warned several times while at sea, and also before the flotilla even left, Israel told them they wouldn't be allowed through the blockade.

Re: Jesus fucking Christ - IDF massacres Turks on board humanitarian ship

i don't think they're totally to blame either. there's never a situation when one party is soley to blame though so that's a moot point (to me and other reasonable people [aka: anyone but an israel supporter])

just on that point: if the IDF suspected that they might be subject to violence, and they felt the need to carry weapons on board because of that, why did they board in the first place? there were numerous other options - for one they could have waited until they hit gazan waters (although killing ANY number of people then would still be an over reaction). second, they could have just blocked the boats in and escorted them to ashdod - which, if i were on that boat, i would have expected quite frankly. third, they could have bought along non lethal weapons ONLY - the activists on board had nothing that could compete with the IDF's force. pepper spray or teargas - tasers even could have been enough IF they IDF felt they had no other option...if they had the right to board that boat in the first instance, which they did not.

but yes, an over reaction in every sense of the word.

They had already boarded the other 5 ships with no incident. They obviously knew violence was a possibility on the last ship but didn't expect it. They seemed to board with only the intention of using non lethal weapons (i.e. the paintball guns) but the people were using masks and lifejackets which rendered the paintballs useless and would have rendered the teargas and probably pepperspray useless.

Analysis I watched before: YouTube - British Naval analyst on Flotilla lynch of Israelis

By the way it's 9 dead not 19.

Pretty sure this issue just got 459694828929x bigger than it should of , therefore the Activists succeeded in obtaining publicity for their movement ... twas the plan all along .

Reuters AlertNet - TIMELINE-Main events in the Gaza flotilla affair

That seems to be the most accepted timeline at this time - sourced from Reuters. There's nothing in there that suggests which order the boats were violently taken over in - certainly nothing to suggest that the mavi marmara was the last one. And furthermore it doesn't matter because the disagreement here was whether or not the activists were aware of the way that the IDF was carrying on - with excessive violence outright - on other ships.

and the activists had every right to be wearing life jackets. both from protection from drowning and also from the IDF. you, as a zionist nutjob, assume that people ought to bow down to the IDF in international waters. this is not the case. Israel had no right to be on that ship, had no right to use any force, and had no right to use ANY sort of violence against those on board.

And I hear it's at least ten dead. Ten too many.

i think the fact that you can move from the side of ten dead peace activists to the side of murderers shows that you're a bit of an idiot, frankly.

personally if a member of the IDF - or any israeli for that matter - came near me, I reckon I'd have to be restrained.

probably with a bullet if the IDF had a say in it

Latest footage released by IDF: YouTube - Mavi Marmara Passengers Attack IDF Before Soldiers Board Ship

Oh yeah they really went in there blasting away and the activists were totally acting in self defense guys.
So I'm just sitting there in international waters having a cup of tea, on my way to deliver aid to people impoverished by the state of israel, and these commandos start abseiling down onto my ship - armed with large weaponry.

The videos mean nothing.
the fact israel confiscated all videos and photographs taken by the activists on the flotilla, really questions the truth on those videos sent by israel to the world. It also shows they are hiding something.

Re: Jesus fucking Christ - IDF massacres Turks on board humanitarian ship

i think that anyone who is using videos released by the IDF as concrete evidence as to what happened to people attacked by the IDF is seriously deluded.

These are the same people that-
denied the use of white phosphorus bombs against gaza, in the face of rock hard evidence
underestimated the death toll of the gazan war by about 800, in the face of fairly credible evidence
bombed a UN compound and then denied it, in the face of rock hard evidence

edit: yeh yeh reliable source

Re: Jesus fucking Christ - IDF massacres Turks on board humanitarian ship

Cargo was searched in Cyprus by official bodies before departing.
No it wasn't, that's a complete fabrication, and if it was, not on an official level. The boats weren't allowed to dock in Cyprus, that's why they were delayed in the first place.

And anyway, what country relies on another country to do its cargo searches for it? There's a reason there's a customs check point at both ends of an airport. And you also seem to be implying that Cyprus is allowed to check the cargo, but Israel isn't?

You didn't respond to a damn thing I wrote. You lost the game.

a) 19 or 10, who cares. It's just as unjustifiable (realistically too! 1 dead person is a tragedy. 1000 dead people is a statistic!)
b) the act of boarding the aid vessel was the first attack
c) nope.

do us all a favour and stay in israel. we don't want scum like you here.
Shows how juvenile you are that you make a discussion of this issue into a game. I guess you need to do that to bring it down to your thinking terms. The only point you made in that post, and I don't think it needs to be responded to, was that you're a moron.

a) Thank you for proving my point, you really don't care how many were killed, and yes, it does matter.

b) Many Governments, including the Australian government perform boarding of vessels in territorial and international waters. Never before has it been referred to in this context as an "attack." Those with logic are able to draw the rational conclusion that there is a difference between a military force conducting a reasonable boarding operation and a rabid mob, who claim to be "peace" activists, mind you, beating them to within an inch of their lives. If they were peace activists they would have allowed the Israelis to board like the other 5 boats, who probably had more honorable intentions.

c) Nah, yeah, these terrorists came prepared for battle, bearing different weapons. They weren't necessarily trying to kill the Israelis, only to provoke a response. The Israelis came prepared for a non-violent response and boarded one at a time with paint-ball guns.

And no, coming back to Australia to get my university degree once I finish army service. Soz.
