Haha. Your story does sound similar to the movies. "Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love. Girl doesn't". Yes, standards needn't be too high, but they do need to exist. Especially for us girls, what with all you testosterone driven guys running rampid.

University of Newcastle, because its closer to home and I would really enjoy PBL. Then its between UWS, UNSW or University of Adelaide.

UWS also has PBL and UNSW has SBL which is the same thing but under a different name. Though UNE has a top-notch medical school. (They were the first to actually implement PBL-style learning if i recall correctly). It's quite4 picturesque as well I remember driving there from Sydney for the interview and the trip was quite scenic.

Anyways, good luck, hope you get in where you want.

Also, back to the OP and your posts - you've had a girlfriend before... right? So it should be easier at least. Unless I'm missing something about boys schools (that is, I assume you interact with girls outside of the school environment)

actually I've never had a girlfriend before in my life. Is it the norm to have girlfriends, however temporary or superficial the relationship must be, even before the end of high school? The fact that I went to a boy school ostensibly contributed to the fact that I just didn't get to see as many girls as I would have if I went to a co-ed school. There are some girls who I occasionally talk to, with one of them even considering me a friend, but I always seem convinced of the fact that I don't know anyone, and I keep telling myself that I don't know any girls or have any genuine friends of the opposite gender. I'm trying to find it within myself to explain why that is, but I'm not sure. It's probably because that I just don't talk to girls all that much and the truth of the situation is that I'm not like my other peers who go out of their way to get to know ppl from other schools, and who either have gf's or regularly socialise with girls. I know that neither of the two apply to me to any great length

Thanks Shadowdude for the reassurance it was a rather naive thing for me at the time to consider that going to a school just for guys was no biggie. I shrugged it off as if it were nothing and didn't and wouldn't matter at all, not even during the later years. I had a choice between Normo and Girraween and I choose Normo cause it had the better academic record. At the time I honestly though that academic performance was the only thing that mattered in choosing a school

Engineering is such a god damn sausagefest it isn't funny. Given my social skills and weird hobbies a girl wouldnt touch me with a barge pole anyway. And good luck trying to marry a girl, no girl in their right mind would want to have a husband thats only around every other week!

Hey don't worry, I have weird tastes in TV shows and stuff as well. Besides, you can always not work in the gigantic hole.
