Founder of the Trends Research Institute, Gerald Celente, predicts a US youth uprising inspired by the internet. He predicts that individuals will grow discontent with government restrictions and internet journalism will spark a political revolution.

"[The Internet is] exposing the corruptness, the ineptitude and the double dealing going on that [governments] don't want the public to know about," he told RT. "The more freedom of information that goes out, they're going to start using cyber war and the war on terror to take that Internet freedom away from America."
He predicted a rising tide of government and private intervention online, with entities acting alongside each other to shut down speech they dislike.
"But in 2011, the game's gonna run out," he said. "...On one end, it's a wake-up call and on the other hand it's [an effort to] screw the people."

Gerald Celente is usually fucking outstanding when it comes to trends. I've been following him for a few years now.
However, I think this is way off the mark.

Maybe over THE NEXT DECADE, this might be somewhat true, but yeah, I think he's wrong.

Most educated US youths definitely do not love big government. Most don't really seem to put themselves towards either major political party - as neither satisfy their political agenda. Sure the majority of the older religious goons still think governments should restrict certain social activities. There does however seem to be a new-age of young educated Christians who still believe in gay rights, abortion etc.

I only ever met one young hardcore republican, and I spent 6 months living in the mid-west among youths.

Whether they have the masses to start a revolution is debatable - unlikely but plausible.

Most had a pretty reasonable level of intelligence. The university ranked in the top 100 in the world, and I was in a pre-med dorm.

They have a pretty good understanding about world events, and economics - yet choose to believe blindly in religion due to the fact that they are the product of the most pure indoctrination.
