ATAR Estimates for both would be much appreciated. Be honest, and let me know where you think both of us are able to improve in order to maximise our ATAR's. By the way, I am "Person 1" and "Person 2" is a my friend, a legit 2011 HSC'er, if any of you had your suspicions that I was trolling.

Thanks

Person 1: 93-96. Person 2: 61-66.

It's always harder for the lower tier ATARs... but the questions I always ask myself when giving these are: "What is the school rank? What is their in-subject rank? What are their subjects? Is this performance typically above average or below average? If so, by what degree?"

Impressive maths marks, especially for someone not doing 2u. What did you do to get them?
Person 1: 92.5-94
Textiles:
Person 2 is obviously either a female family member(i.e. cousin) or your gf.
No idea for Person 2.

Person 1 would be expecting around 95 if performance keeps going at that rate.
Person 2 is pretty unpredictable - could go up to 80 if they put their mind to it since the marks are pretty low and you could easily jump a large proprortion of the cohort. Probably looking at 60 atm

Okay so as I wrote, I am Person 1 and, if your predictions are true, I would be over the moon with that sort of ATAR

Thanks

I think you meant to write especially for someone not doing 3U..?

And truth is that there are only 8 people doing MX1 at my school, of which 4 do MX2

So only 4 people from MX1 do 2U, and 2 of them are ranked 1st and 2nd while the other 2 and ranked like 5th and 6th

So its this other kid and I who only do 2U but are ranked 3rd and 4th, respectively, meaning yes we are beating MX1 kids at the moment

However, the kid ranked 3rd dropped down from MX1 and I was going to do MX1 coz the teacher full told me to and all that but the problem was that it clashed with PDHPE which I love and obviously Im pretty good at it too, so yeah

And to answer your questions.. I just studied to get those marks/ranks and yes, despite your slightly sexist remarks, Person 2 is female and yes she has some sort of relation to me

Thanks, seems like its pretty difficult to predict..

Yeah, that's what I meant, haha.
That's still pretty good that you're beating pretty much half of the 3u class, even if you were smart enough to do it they would still be ahead.

you would get an even better ATAR if you worked at Physics. By the looks of it, you're pretty good @ Maths, and Physics is quite similar....so yeah, improve your Physics and even Bio if possible, and 93+ is possible...also depends on your moderated Standard English mark btw...but you seem to be doing pretty well at that too, so shouldn't affect you all that much.. Person 2, sorry, no clue....Good luck to both of you! :D
