If you get Distinctions for all assessments in a particular unit, does it mean that you HAVE to get a D overall? I got a D in all 3 assessments for one of my units, and a raw mark of 80/100 overall. Will I get 80, or does scaling come into play?
It all depends on each convener, there is no guarantee that the combination of marks given to you will equal your final mark. Having said that, they usually won't put you in a credit if you have a distinction average, or vice versa, otherwise you'd have a very good case for arguing against its issuing. If you get Distinctions for all assessments in a particular unit, does it mean that you HAVE to get a D overall?
