I won't get mine till sometime Term 4, but I anticipate it will be a motivator. Oh well if you can consider depressing motivating.

I had one of my best reports at half yearly but most have gone downhill :( I'll have to work so much harder in Yr 12! At least when I get in Yr 12, I can be like old news cause prelim doesn't count :p

I'm hoping it will be a motivator. My report is going to be horrible.

I miss my year 9 report.

I heard my Art teacher saying that her report of us is due sometime next week, so maybe I'll get it during the holidays.

Just a heads up guys, if you're planning on applying for scholarships, cadetships, coops etc, some will ask for very detailed results from year 11 (ranks, marks), so although most people will tell you yr11 doesn't mean anything, this isn't necessarily the case

I had to give my Yr 10 yearly and Yr 11 half yearly to get into a program...good thing they were good!

But I don't think my Yr 11 report would be bad for scholarships, I mean the comments and marks will be good, just the ranks not super great. (Though I only care about the ranks haha that's why I'm sad).

My ranks aren't consistent. :( My comments will be mostly good but there will probably be stuff like 'she has the potential to do a lot better', etc. My marks won't be good.

One of my teachers delibrately calls me "Chris" consistently (not my name) to annoy me. If he does it in my report I will be angry and cry. Otherwise, my report will not be too bad.

Maths and Maths Ext. 1 is bound to be legendary.

All my other subjects are okay too. But I can't be doing this again in the HSC. Spiral will be killed. Hence initiation of Plan B (Study).

How can some of you get your reports mid way through Term 4? You should be getting them at the end of Term 3 so you can figure out over the holidays what you're gonna keep/drop/pick-up for the HSC year...

We are often told our ranks before getting our reports so yeah.

My ranks are very inconsistant.

I came top ten in half my subjects, and the bottom half of the course in the other half :p

Shadowdude, I wish we got them earlier too, but I haven't finished my Yr 11 yearlies yet so it has to be a few weeks into Yr 12. But I woudn't have time to contemplate it because I'm overseas for 2 and a half weeks. But yeah, pretty sure based on the exams what my best ranked subjects will be and my worse.

When considering the numerical ranks, I think maths will be the worst but comparatively better than eco because there is almost a fifth of the amount doing eco compared to maths :p And I have more potential and drive to improve in maths. I think my Modern, Adv English, Ext English and Bio rank will be pretty sweet (I was coming 1st, 2nd,2nd and 1st pre yearlies, and I don't think I performed *too* adversely in them).

That's grounds for bullying by a teacher...

Our school marks the yearly exams over the school holidays then the teachers need to write our reports which usually takes about a month. It makes more sense to get them at the end of term 3. We aren't allowed to drop a subject until week 4 of term 4.

^Same here.
My school doesn't tell us our overall ranks - only the rank for each individual assessment and even then they only do that in year 12. :\
I think mine will be a motivator. I was way too slack this year, but I actually feel confident about year 12.

My school, on the assessment booklet, my year was suppose to start the HSC week 4, term 4, but somehow we commence the HSC in week 1 for all extension subjects and week 2 for other subjects. I was thinking it might be because we finished the prelim. course in most subjects. For us, we can't drop a subject until week 2. =/
