Okay so this questions must have been posted so many times but the search function is broken and i remain lazy, so what's about the average raw mark /120 needed for an e4. So far i'm averaging about 90 in past papers

75ish/120. your looking at more like 94 if you are getting 90/120 in past papers.

E3.

75/120 will get you an E4.

59/120 would have gotten you 83 last year.

So an E3 would be around: 52-55/120

If 59/120 = 83 how does 52 = 70ish? wouldn't it be more?

Thanks again.

rule of thumb for E4, around 5 marks is = to 1 hsc mark. e.g 100/120 -> 96

shows just how hard 4U is. you get 5/6th of the paper correct and you still come in the top 150 of the state.

For a stupid mother of a 4U student (who's currently studying flat-out for this exam), could you please explain this - I don't quite get what your saying here. Cheers

HANG ON - Forget it !! I see what you're saying - doh!
