anyone know if Macquarie > UTS? seemed so when i went to the open days of the two. UTS looks alot more fun though lol. just wondering incase i cant get into USYD or UNSW...

I don't know much, but I'd say it would depend on the faculty. UTS are reputable for their design and communications degrees. Not sure about anything else though. Just research what uni is best for your particular degree.

Ps... USyd >>>>>>>> UNSW.

Because USyd gave me a scholarship. And UNSW didn't.
And USyd is pretty. Even though I am transferring. To UTS lol.
Though some aspects of USyd tend to rely on their prestige and thus neglect current advances in thought and technology. So... yer.

Some of USYD's engineering and science buildings look super shit and their timetabling system so much behind the other unis.

I have wondering about this for such a long time.

I had say UNSW is the better Uni. For degrees like Engineering, UNSW is the best in Australia.

But its hard to find the differences between UNSW and USYD, as they seem both quite similar. If someone could elaborate more on the differences and similarities between the two Universities that would be great.

I once heard Sydney Uni was good for the Social Sciences and UNSW was good for the Science and research based degrees. Don't know if this is true?

There's really no difference. An engineering employer isn't going to care if you went to USYD or UNSW, they're both very reputable unis. UNSW Engineering does have more modern facilities though, while USYD's seem like they haven't been updated since it was created. It's probably more important to check out what subjects each uni offers in the courses you want to do and see what you like more.
