Fuckn oath man. Got like 3 band 4's and 2 band 5's. Mark ranging from 70 to 80. Fucking ended up with a 65 ATAR, when atarcalculator.com predicted a 72. Oh well TAFE here I come.

Does anyone reakon that MX1 and MX2 have scaled slightly less this year? Last year, a band 6/band 5 in either of these subjects seemed to have more pull.

Hey bro when u mean transfer does that mean transfer to another uni? And is there shorter waiting periods? Or does it have to be one year?

I feel this is true with MX1. That test was a fucking BITCH - harder than MX2 according to many and harder than the infamous 2006 MX1 paper according to some.

I didn't do any maths, and only did one low scaling science subject (biology). Even though my HSC marks were higher than most of my friends, a few of them did good scaling subjects (maths, physics, chem etc), and got a higher atar than me. So yeah, scaling sucks :(.

that's why the cunts that say that scaling doesn't matter when choosing your subjects should be shot on sight

Well scaling don't matter if you're just gonna 10% every 4U math assessment, might as well stick to 2U

But scaling evens things out. Is an 85 in IT equal to an 85 in chemistry? - probably not. You shouldnt chose subjects based on scaling because scaling isnt going to help you if your hopeless in a subject. If you can get 90 in visual arts but only 80 in physics, then you are better off doing visual arts from a scaling standpoint.

You pick subjects based on what you like and what you are good at.
