Re: The Official Cricket Thread

he bowled terribru last odi
Isn't he the one who got hit off 19 an over?

And I was surprised that Pakistan came back to win that test match because iirc, they were like 9/61 or something at one stage.

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

In reference to India's abysmal performance against Australia during the test series, I think this is completely true.
What do you call an Indian cricketer with a century next to his name? a bowler :p

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

tendulkar should score a 100 with the start he has got, unless he throws it away.

Jinx worked unfortunately

Wow that joke is like older than Tendulkar. Was probably first used before India even played test cricket. Typically aussies have said it about England.

Re: The Official Cricket Thread

A more contemporary one is that Dhoni is driving home one night and is pulled over by the police and they ask him to take the breathalyzer and produces a note from a dr explaining that "this man is an asthmatic, please don't take breath out of him." So they tel him they'll need a blood sample then and he produces a note saying "this man is a hemophiliac please don't take blood out of him" so they say he'll need to provide a urine sample and he produces a third and final note from a doctor saying "this man is an Indian cricketer, please don't take the piss out of him"

Oh for sure, I think Stephen Fry originally said it on Have I Got News For You about Michael Atherton about 15 years ago, but the bowlers century one is like from premodern times.

RIP Brad Haddin's international career.

cant see him getting back in with how athletic wade was behind the stumps today and how well he batted in the past week.
