Re: Official BOS Study Meat v2.0

@Carrot - What do you think of a philosophy seminar by a year 10 student? I have notes from my school society since 2011 on philosophical topics which are purely 'food for thought'. However, I doubt anybody would go see and listen a year 10 student talk about philosophy and life. I am happy to prepare talks and topics which could be relevant to many high schoolers in regards to education and life.

Re: Official BOS Study Meat v2.0

If I survive my exams I'll come say hi (don't expect me to provide much useful advice :p)
Awesome =)

lol I remember this room

will whiteboard markers/cleaners be provided?
Yep, I will make sure they provide colourful ones (because I love colourful things).

I enjoyed watching Carrot tutor Realise.
I don't remember you watching me... haha. Should I be scared? (yes I should).

If you do I'll give an awkward hi to you, just like at NCSS :p
What is NCSS?

A very good idea and some of the students could use it actually. However, the main problem is getting the space available to fit the seminars AND extra talks. Perhaps next time Demento1, very sorry =(

What is NCSS?
It's the National Computer Science Summer School, essentially what its name suggests :) A programming camp for 10/11 days at the University of Sydney. Is glorious. I've gone twice. And they also hold the NCSS Challenge, an equally glorious programming event - goes for five weeks. It's almost like a competition - it has a leaderboard and things - but they teach you as they go along, so it's more of an educational experience than anything else.

You should see some of the notes I've taken down at school. Some are extremely interesting about the purpose of education.

That's alright. If any students above me are interested, I could just talk and lecture on philosophy outside in the library or in the social room if you happen to acquire one on the day at Paramatta library.

Feel free to do so! There are the small study rooms available if you want to do it.

You need to learn to use LaTeX properly.

On the day if I'm free and anybody wants to learn how to use LaTeX properly, I'll teach you.

And no I don't know why I'm mad at you.
Yes! I would like to learn latex :)

Best that you sign up and PM me with details like everybody else has done =)

Since there are too many different texts etc, we will just be having general essay writing tips etc.

From what I recall last year, my school went pretty in depth about education and time. Recently, we've been talking about free will and the justification of war and violence.
