Yes. D you have a goal as to what you want to do in future?
Thank you for responding :) I have no goal at the moment unfortunately but I would love to do something where I am helping others in some way.

Also, do you mind telling me some benefits of keeping my options open instead of specialising? Not that it matters anyway because we finalised our subjects last week :p

It's not about the speed. It's about how well you learn the content and reduce your silly mistakes (i.e. improving exam technique).

I've seen some people who go so ahead yet fail to perform as well as some people who go at the school's pace.

I go tutoring for 3U (and now 4U as well) but it doesn't guarantee that I'll beat people who don't go tutor or go at the school's pace.

Many people at our school are as well. In fact, some people doing intermediate mathematics have been tutored for 3U maths since the beginning of the year. They were obviously upset when they were not allowed to do 3U.

Why would you move schools just because you didn't even get into one class?

That's stupid imo.

I didn't do any tutoring for 3U or 4U maths, but I still managed to beat everybody who started tutoring for it since end of Year 10/Beginning of Year 11.

I guess tutoring can be helpful but sometimes people rely on it too much.

i think tutoring is extremely stupid and a waste of time, and it is also unfair to others who may not have the money or time. in life you are not always going to have someone special there to help you

Curious, do you guys have your exam block in Week 7/8 as well? I do and since I've been sick for the last few weeks I've ended up having to cram every single subject except for Maths. xD

Recently got the most stupid Science prac exam notification:
The task is an assessment of your ability to carry out specific scientific skills, including practical work and analysis of data. You will be required to carry out an individual independent investigation and also analyse data and experimental scenarios provided to you.

Well gee that helps a lot, tells us everything about what we're going to be assessed on..

What's the topic you are currently studying? Something along the lines of evolution? I sorta like those surprise tests though we don't usually get practical tasks at all at my school. But remember: A test is not made to degrade any student. A well written examination is one where it tests all understanding of the topic covered by the teacher along with encouraging you to think beyond the scope of a simple natured curriculum. Clarify with your teacher if he/she can be more specific with the task.

Better start working harder. I haven't gotten the exact details of yearly examinations at my school yet so it may be slightly later then you.

The last time we had an exam block was in year 7. Now we just have an exam whenever we are told that we are going to have the exam. We get 2 weeks notice though. Bad thing about it is that students can ask each other what the questions were if their class is doing the exam a day later.

Why is everyone having their yearly exams so early? Our yearly exams are usually around Weeks 4 - 6 of Term 4...

Mine will most likely be around late October or November. Do your teachers write up reports very quickly? Our school goes methodically and slow in the process of reports, hence more time needed.
