Re: The Official Football Thread

And the 2012-13 Premier League season is now underway.

Edit: Michu (Swansea) is the first scorer of the season with a goal against QPR.

Edit 2: Brett Holman makes his debut for Aston Villa.

Sitting on 20 points at the moment with the Wigan-Chelsea game still to conclude and Heitinga, Nani and Aguero still to play.

I loved how Rodgers looked so nervy during the match on the weekend.

Body language said it all.

Re: The Official Football Thread

thing about rodgers is his premier league experience as opposed to avb when he came to chelsea
What's the difference? They both worked in the backroom staff at Chelsea back in the day.

everton what a fighting victory, so proud
Breaking the trend of your usual slow starts?

Who knows.

I just know that I'm not 100% sure about David Gallop.

Well, most of it is because "he's the NRL guy".

And I dislike NRL with a passion. So that might just be some sort of residual.

Plus, part of me wants football people in those positions - though from what I've heard, his new position is just administrative and the like... which doesn't really need 'football' knowledge I suppose...

Hopefully he does some good for the game then.

Personally, I can't wait to go to the Wanderers games. It's really kind of exciting to have a professional football team playing very close to where I live!

Sometimes it's a good idea to bring in someone from outside the sport because they will bring in new ideas.
