Lol I got 14a (iv) wrong -___-
I was like wth do I do?! so I started trying discriminant but the things to the power of 4... then I substituted x^2 = u but that didnt work cause I had x^3

Then after the exam my friend said its just k>32 so the min point wouldnt cut the x axis -________- fml

Yeah, I got k>32. Took me a while to think of it though because I kept thinking about the discriminant but it wouldn't work.
I got a fraction, like 21/1/3 something like that...

no because if you look at the graph

the only part that y=-k doesnt cut is below the minimum pt which is at -32

Thats what I got i'm assuming we are right :), everyone else here is either trolling or genuinely failed this question
My thinking was that if you added 32, and raised the curve up by 32, the minimum point would no longer cross the x axis, hence no solutions so k>32?????

Are you sure its not 19pi/8?

I thought it became: 9pi(19/72) which becomes 19pi/8
