In the USYD science enrolment guide it states that neuroscience requires additional requirements on top of the 24 cp required by a science major (first year that is). What additional requirements would this be?

For a major in neuroscience, you have to choose from at least two subject areas from the selected NEUR, PSYC and PCOL units. This means you can't only do NEUR units for a major in neuroscience, you have to have at least one other subject area to qualify for a neuroscience major.

So for neuro we'd do the first year subjects riproot recommends, and then in second year just some more pcol and psych or anatomy? and then in 3rd year 12cp of neuro and 12cp of psych or pcol? This probably means you can't really major in pharmacology/psychology along with neuro right because subjects can't be counted for two majors?

You can major in both neuroscience and psychology/pharmacology if your psych/PCOL units are those which aren't counted in a neuroscience major and if there are enough non-counted units to make up 24 credit points. For example, third year social psychology doesn't contribute to a neuroscience major, so choose a subject like that and others that don't contribute to a neuro major. You should look into the Science handbook and see what is counted and what isn't.
