I know, very subjective question, but I just want to get individual thoughts here: does law get any better?

I know many of people who did not do so well in contracts law204 this semester (I myself could have done better). I've also heard from past students that the compulsory subjects one has to 'endure' in first/second/third year are generally the hardest they had to face during their law degree. what do you guys think?

I think at this point, the thing that is driving me in law, is to eventually do the elective units, which seem much more interesting and specialised to my liking! Is it true (as I have also heard from some people), that elective units are generally more fun, easier to do better in? Of course this will vary depending on people and units, but as I said I want to know individual experiences here.

AND if anyone doesn't mind, any good recommendations for law electives?

better in what way?
easier?
more interesting?

when you say 'did not do so well' what does that mean?
a credit? a pass?

think about why you are doing a law degree too.
if you don't enjoy it now, you probably won't enjoy it later. (or if you want to practice as a solicitor you probably won't enjoy it then).
granted there are some interesting electives out there, there are also more core units you probably wouldn't enjoy.

Well essentially yes, both in terms of ease and being more interesting etc.

When i say 'did not do well' i didnt mean so much myself. I could have done better but generally i average a hd/d in most law things.

I have always wanted to do law since primary school. Im not doing it for prestige. But just like every other student in every course, some subjects are dry and hard. For me ethics was like that. I want to get into commecial law and im just wondering if some people are in the same boat and actually found future law subjects to be more interesting and relevant to such a career avenue.

well the good news is when you do commercial law, and business organizations you'll see if that's what interests you or not.

Yeah, I have heard from many people that bus orgs has been notorious for being difficult. Have you done this subject? If so, how did you find it?
