welp, got PTRL2018 and GEOS3321 - both very heavy content subjects. FML all this memorization.

Why did I choose petroleum engineering? :(

You chose it because you had the interest and passion for it. Keep on going strong everyone!!!

lol I chose it for the money tbh (coz of starting salary - 100K) :p

Then I realized that you could still enter the oil and gas industry by doing other degrees as well, not just petroleum.

But we'll see how it goes.

U b doubting the comm lyf
Lol, did comm for a year. Worst degree I've done :(

Wait iirc you are doing first year courses though.

So maybe you can make some of those PTRL courses your first year electives and transfer to something else if you wanted to.

Just a food for thought if you want.

Well nah, doing 2 ptrl 2nd year courses, 1 3rd year ptrl and 1 geology.

If I were to transfer, I'd just drop the engo part and graduate with B science. But we'll see how things go. Depending on job demand and stuff (coz ptrl job demand doesn't look good atm - afaik out of the 3rd year local students (around 40 of them), only 2 of them got internships this year. And seeing as you need a grad job/internship to graduate from the degree, things aren't looking good for most people), may or may not drop.

Last exam tomorrow. Thank goodness it's an open book exam. Basically covered the entire field of acoustics and noise.
