Two thumbs up for primer. It is likely the most intellectually demanding movie I have ever seen. Incredibly low budget too, great example of substance over style.

Definitely, took multiple viewings of parts to actually get an idea of what was going on

if by intelligence you mean thought provoking, Most international miramax films are great. E.g life is beautiful, cinema paradiso. Good will hunting is actually a film on the raw concept of intelligence. It's quite good in my opinion. Clue (1985, i think) is a crap movie if you're not engaging, it is ok, not for everyone.

here's a good rule of thumb: if a movie is among the most popular of all time, it's probably not 'intellectual'
