I tried this with my PS4 a few weeks ago, whilst it is a pretty cool concept i highly prefer using my monitor and PS4 controller, especially seeming that there are certain games on the PS4 that don't allow remote play what so ever
Yeah there's no easy way or trick to let you use your dual shock 4 with the Vita is what I realised. I know it's been done but it's clunky. Guess it's to motivate gamers to buy a Sony phone.

I was under the impression that all games worked on ps4 for remote play and some such as drive club offered specific controls for a vita.

Most games on the PS4 work with remote play, it's only a small percentage that don't. And yeah, i can't help to agree, especially when looking at the low sales figures of devices such as the Vita when compared to the 3DS (Which is quite sad actually, i would of liked to see a bit more developer support for the Vita instead of it being labeled by sony as what is more or less a PS4 companion device)

Lol when I did HSC my launch ps2 was going strong but died shortly after the exams :(

On another note my PSN connection has started to get a lot faster lately which is a good sign for remote play!

try replacing the thermal paste on the cpu
Replaced the thermal paste, cleaned out dust from fan etc, but still overheats within 2 minutes. My fans are fucked, start blowing like a jet engine the second I turn my PS3 on :(

Final bit of training for the next local melee tournament tomorrow.

My sheik is feeling pretty crispy :).
Boom, 2nd place. After this weeks rankings updates I will be ranked 2nd in the ACT!

1st or Bust :p Pretty rad how they have a league system going.
Haha am going to keep trying to improve, give me time. I took 2 games off the #1 player (out of 8) and he is probably top 15ish in Aus. This game is so amazing.

It's not strictly a league, there are just monthly local tournaments as well as bigger out-of-state events and majors etc. Rankings get updated every 4 months voted on by a pretty knowledgeable panel (with results being the main criteria).

Nah I moved to Singapore where Internet is a bit faster here (speed test usually gets 300+ both up and down with low ping)... But alas I'm constrained by my 4g or public wifi as I try to play drive club at my local Starbucks. So far it is failing to connect despite my 4g recording 30/20 with a 40ms ping.

Interestingly I had a 100Mbit bigpond connection in my place in Sydney but the best I could ever get on PSN was about 15/2.2 although I think bigpond capped the upload speed.

Nope. I didn't think it was worth the $10 more per month to get gigabit speed over my 300Mbps connection given I mainly use my iPad and iPhone 6 (which support AC upto 300Mbps I believe) at home, with very limited use of my MacBook Airs (mine only has N and not AC). Only devices which would've benefitted were the consoles and Apple TV which are plugged into my AC router.

On another note I got drive club to work. By moving my iPhone higher onto the shelf next to me at Starbucks, I was able to play. It was decent but not ideal. Every now and then there were artefacts on the screen and once it lagged a second which is enough for me to steer into the corner and suddenly find myself off the track!

There are some quick photos of the vita in action. I was going to make a video but it was too much trouble and I was enjoying playing.
