any tips? we never learnt this in class but i have seen some diagrams and done some past paper questions on this. wanna know if theres any obscure rules abt this! tyty

The textbook demonstrates a specific method of drawing the router and switch, which is good to demonstrate knowledge, but not necessary. Same with bridge's and gateways.
not necessary wasting time in exam

No, you won't be tested on obscure rules. There are international standards for drawing network diagrams, but you are not required to know them in IPT. However it is very useful if you can use pictorial symbols like these for the common building blocks of computer networks.

Hey, this isnt actually true :). There are no international standards for drawing network diagrams/maps. If you would like a reference, CISCO has some good diagrams (that are almost industry standards - only because they are used so much). You can see all of them using Cisco Packet Tracer.
