Last year 80 aligned with a 92 and that paper was fine. Hoping for this year it’s mid-high 70sbro im like 99% sure this was in my trial, i was so shocked to open the paper and see it
(in my opinion, i think it gave a little bit of an advantage tbh because i had teachers feedback from my response on analysing that source + my brain automatically knew what to respond with- but i didn't utilise that advantage since i didn't read over my power and authority feedback from trials gg)
anyways does anyone think this year will have cracked alignment or nah cuz i feel like a lot of the questions were really difficult and weirdi might just be coping cause i worked really hard all year for modern history just to be done dirty by the goofiest conflict in Europe and russia questions like why did they ask about the survey in CIE and repeat foreign policy from last year???
Honestly, aside from the backstab from Nesa with that foreign policy Q, "WHY did a power struggle emerge" is such a strange question, like they may as well have asked why did Stalin emerge as leader because my arguments were essentially the same for both. Hope we get awesome scaling to make up for it hahahabro im like 99% sure this was in my trial, i was so shocked to open the paper and see it

Honestly he's kinda right, the source was used for 2 different questions entirely and I don't think knowing those were cardboard cutouts or not mattered because at the end of the day you just mention it's targeted towards the youth which was pretty apparentYeah, cancel Kenny Webb for this lol. He deserves it...
Nahhh, because then you'd have to apply the same logic to students who's trial exams or assessment tasks had the exact same question as the HSC because they'd also have an 'unfair advantage', it becomes a slippery slope of what is deemed "fairer"they should scale those who did the independent trial differently to the rest
the purpose of scaling is make it fairer, so go on then make it fairer, given that some students had some of the content prior to the exam, whist others didn’t
Maybe everyone got a b6 and the real modern history was the friends and Soviet foreign policy we made along the wayLast year 80 aligned with a 92 and that paper was fine. Hoping for this year it’s mid-high 70s
Doesn't the top 10-ish percent of students get a b6? why does it have to be harder than that?Last year 80 aligned with a 92 and that paper was fine. Hoping for this year it’s mid-high 70s
what does this even mean... i think its getting too late for you mate.Maybe everyone got a b6 and the real modern history was the friends and Soviet foreign policy we made along the way

will we get messed up if we do not? I did not even realised the plural in civil right movements until i went online.for crm, did u guys talk about other countries for the 12 marker
I highly doubt so. The topic is about the USA.will we get messed up if we do not? I did not even realised the plural in civil right movements until i went online.
fr the why qns were strangeI don’t understand why they said “why did the power struggle emerge…” completely fucked me over
very fucken famous last words i bombed itFamous last words
one can pray and hope, may scaling save us allLast year 80 aligned with a 92 and that paper was fine. Hoping for this year it’s mid-high 70s
nah bc WHY DID MY NATIONAL STUDY HAVE FOREIGN POLICY 3 YEARS IN A ROWFamous last words
Tbh, I was expecting a communist victory question given that it wasn't at least, really asked in the retrospective HSC questions. I also feel like the Second Civil War can be an area where students may forget because well, that 4 year period from 1945-1949 happens soooo quickly. If you don't mind me asking, what were your options for Peace and Conflict and Change in the Modern World? Because those questions for my options were ABSOLUTE heaven.the communist victory question was a bit unexpected imo but i agree i did not feel like doing an essay on the approaches ahaha. p&a was so weird i agree. i hadn't seen a comparison question about the value of the sources before and the 15 marker? huh.
I know I don't do Russia as my National Studies but how the devil would you answer that? I mean Stalin's "socialism in one country and the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact could get you somewhere and something about the Comintern but in essence:nah bc WHY DID MY NATIONAL STUDY HAVE FOREIGN POLICY 3 YEARS IN A ROW
