Thank you so much!!! I was good at languages so I did 3 units of Japanese, Chinese continuers, 3U Maths, Chemistry, and English Advanced

I HIGHLY recommend Chemistry. It’s a good mix of rote learning like bio, and problem solving (titration questions are so goated)... I gave up halfway through Mod 7 (organic chem) and barely studied after trials to not only get an 83 HSC mark, but also to have that count towards my ATAR over my Band 6 Chinese continuers score. Actually insane.
Wow, I have heard organic chemistry is really hard. You must be good at languages! Chinese and Japanese? Do you regret barely studying after the trials? 😢

Organic chemistry isn’t too difficult, and I managed to have sound knowledge of everything by the end. But missing the extra one/two marks in a written answer multiple times does lead to a large amount of marks lost in the end. I hate writing and rewriting answers to practice, and memorising in detail, which is a large part of Organic Chemistry. I like to understand things and get on with it, which isn’t possible in Mod 7. If you enjoy subjects like bio or history it might be more up your alley.

Languages have always been my strong suit! I don’t regret slacking off for Chemistry because I was pretty on top of things before Module 7. It’s still a great course and a subject I like a lot. I had to put it on the backburner because English became more important.

My teacher literally zoomed through everything for some reason so we can finish it by the end of next term and then focus on revision and questions for the rest

Woahhh that sounds awesome! Jack the Ripper is such an interesting perspective too. I did a suite of poems which were like, poems sent back and forth by a poet and a soldier in love, while the soldier is at war - the poems are all dated to different times, so they change in their structure and poetic form, like they evolve from sapphic stanza in 50 BCE to shakespearean sonnet in 1600 CE to depict the shifting nature of poetry alongside the constancy of war and love! I'm very proud of it
oh my god that is so cool
