  • Kind of a friend, she was going to come to newcastle, but she got a better offer at Griffith :(

Pretty sure she lives near or on campus. Iunno tbh :p
It's quite arty, like most of Aronofsky's films, so he may not be into it. I thought it was better than Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler, so if he's seen and like either of those he may enjoy this one. While the subject topic isn't 'manly' it is a really well done film.

Or of course, you could both just roam the streets looking for hookers, cocaine and absinthe. Your call.
Natalie Portman plays a dancer with a ballet company who has the lead role in Swan Lake. She has to play the white swan (fragile, perfect, delicate; just like her) as well as the black swan (impulsive, free, imperfect). One of the other dancers played by Mila Kunis embodies many of the characteristic of the black swan. The film shows how Portman deals with the pressure and pain of her responsibility, and its influence on her mental health.

It's hard to explain properly without giving a lot away. Definitely try and see it if you can.
I think it was around 8 threads I posted in. Post rate is usually reasonably slow during this time of day. So that helps. I haven't been on all day, so I had four pages of new threads to catch up on. =)

Was at the movies with a mate, and saw Black Swan. Fucking amazing IMO.

I know right - I've always been nice to mods though, well generally. It's the other forum members that get me.
