Advice .. Thinking about changing from physio to.....? HELP PLEASE :(

Since starting physio ive realised i'm more interested in the internal physiological processes/structures of the body and the effects disease/drugs have on them... as opposed to the outer biomechanical influences on bones/joints/muscles... Now im all confused about what to do with my life :(...

JCU Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery prerequisites

Sounds like a way for the uni to make money tbh. If its listed as a prerequisite then unfortunately you must present some proof of completion of some related course. in most cases this will require the student taking up the bridging course in the holidays - ie, big $$$ for the uni. i remember...

HELP!!! UWS physio / USYD physio

its totally not that hard to maintain a credit average, especially in health science. First year subjects "insanely difficult"? Comon lets be real, functional muskoskeletal anatomy a and b and neuro are HUGE work loads yes, but the rest of the subjects are quiet simple. tbh i wouldnt want...

How much does the university matter for a BA?

Its an arts degree, does it really matter ? Does it really matter where you do any degree for that matter? It probably does for over pretentious nerds. A degrees a degree - if you go well it doesnt matter where you go (ofcourse people who go to unsw and usyd law/medicine wont let you believe...

Advice for the future... Physiotherapy/ Medicine

ummm that is so far from being correct its not even funny. physios dont just "do what a doctor tells them" , they pretty much plan/partake in the whole rehabilitation process. if its something obvious (like a break) a doctor will diagnose and then pass the patient on to physio for the rehab...

    transfering to physiotherapy

get into exercise and sport science (~ uai of 87), aim to achieve a credit average (atleast) and attempt to get into master of physiotherapy at the end of your 3 years. transfers from exss straight to physiotherapy MIGHT be possible, but would be a distinction average minimum in your first year...

    B Health Sci OR B Exercise&SportSci/Nutrtion?

Just do the single exercise and sport science degree. As stated, health science is a snore - has a lot of unnecessary researchy/theory/pysch subjects for wanting to go down the path of physio. Im sure if you still obtain a credit in E&SS youll get into masters of phys, despite the guarantee in...

Health risks of medical radiation courses?

Do you really think there is going to be serious health risks in a national health job ? Think about it. There is without question procedures and precautions that make this completely safe. Otherwise it wouldnt be allowed.

    B Health science

yep, thats what i meant - im surprised they included physiotherapy with the other health faculty degrees due to how competitive it is. the bach of health science with a human movement major is really quite similar in units of study to the exercise and sport science degree. even with the...

    B Health science

Ok i just read about it on Usyd website. Interesting. Im assuming thats going to make it ALOT more competitive for non-health science students to get into a masters of physiotherapy. Im actually confused as to why they applied the guarantee to physio. I always thought exercise and sport science...
