  • I'm quite disappointed with Paper 1.
The "celebrate relationships" with the creative writing was just too specifc- there was no room for people to interpret it as they wish.
And I didn't like how they said "ONE related text", not two, despite the fact that the syllabus asks for two supplementary texts?

I wrote got into 2 booklets for my essay, but take out one related text and you've probably only got one booklet. Still, oh well. I'm not sure to what proportion other people talked about their poems and stuff.
I'm hopinh quality/quantity will prevail (as I nailed the shiz out of the understanding bit-- probs a bit too much).

Nice, I have Ancient/ Maths on Monday.
You do Gen. maths, ya? Or 2U?
Ohh okay. Yeah, you do have some time :)
Is it English Paper 2 and then your next exam is Continuers, or do you have another exam between that?
I totz agree. My right arm is just throbbing with pain because I need to write 1000 words in 40 mins (which, I can do, but it's so darn hard *dies*)

    Oh grooveh.
Well, up until a few hours ago, I would have continued learning French @ Uni (UTS), but I've changed my preferences (again!), so I'm thinking I'll go to Alliance Francaise in the city, or look at some community college classes (<---LOL@alliteration).

    Bonne chance :)
    Hi,
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, the grammer did help- particularly with the little things like "a" "de" and things like that.
Started studying for french yet? When is the Continuers exam, btw?
I've been reading old Continuers exam papers, and look at some examples of what people wrote. The level of detail is quite astounding.
Alas, with time (a substantial amount, after the HSC), I will teach myself :)

Are you going to study French @ Uni/Tafe?
    Hehe, thanks.

Oh yeah, I was wondering if they were. I found it funny at the end about why he never talked :p.
And thankyou so much for the grammar, I got it!!
When I finish my PDHPE studying, I'm intending to do French next.
Yeah, my fave part was with Elijah Wood and the Vampire. I thought the ending was absolutely hilarious. I was surprised to hear Maggie Gyllenhaal speaking french.

Yeah, I got 94% on my trial, so I'm hoping that I don't fuck up in my HSC.
Omgish, really? That would be awesome, thankyou so much!
Oh wow, thats even hard to understand in english, lol.
:O, thats shocking. But, they will figure it out when the markers are going through the tape.

I hate it. I have bought "Paris, Je T'aime" and "2 days in Paris" to listen to in French to help with my listening, and I want to practice writing dialogues as a written response.
Simple stuff for beginners. It doesn't scale well unless you get over 90, is that right?
Oohh, okay, thats good. I feel alot better now that I have an idea on what they mark on.

Oh, I didn't know you did french extension. What does that entail (speaking, I mean).
Ohh dear :S (about continuers). How was he/she dodgy?
    Hi,
Sorry for the really reply. I never got an email (as compared to facebook, where you got notified for EVERYTHING *fail*)

It was alright. I stumbled over a few questions, and my teacher never really let us experience a "conversation" in our speaking exams at school, so I was a little taken aback when literally one flowed after the other.

I think my pronouciation is my greatest assest. I hope that they don't mark solely on content, as I'm pretty sure I screwed up some questions.

Have you had your speaking exam yet? If so, how'd it go?
    Your french is great.
And I was trying to read what you said to that guy on the French forum...something about him being arrogant (I only do beginners, and my reading skills aren't that crash hot lol)
