    Enrolment Questions

You'll be sent a letter detailing the enrolment process. For me, this was included in my UAC letter of offer. Most, or all, of your concerns should be answered by that letter, but I'll just give you a run down on what happens. 1. Concerning HECS deferments, you will get a form to fill out on...

    Law degree workload

I don't think there's any point comparing law subjects to my commerce subjects to show workload because law feels like a world of its own to me. I manage well for around 3-4 weeks of a subject; I read everything, do the questions and understand everything clearly even before making it to class...

    PC experiencing sudden blackouts

I'm not sure how many fans I'm suppose to have :) But I see two (one out the back and one inside) and they're both spinning constantly. I've left the sides open for better airflow and I can feel the hot air against my legs but I'm not sure whether this is normal. I just used compressed air to...

    PC experiencing sudden blackouts

My computer has been misbehaving lately. :( I get random blackouts and my monitor says that it doesn't detect a signal and I'm forced to restart. It'll do this every time about 5 minutes after I login to Windows. I got frustrated today and started pounding on the keyboard and everything worked...

    New focus for 2008?

My sister is doing her HSC in 2008. I realised that she'll have a different AOS focus and I'm wondering if any information has been released about this? Do they get new specimen papers?

    Fullfee to HECS place

One can attempt to move from full-fee to HECS every year. :) Doesn't mean they will get in. nickyroony - Keep in mind that beyond your first attempt to transfer after year 1, your further attempts at transfer will be infinitely harder. There will only be 1-2 places at best (when students...

    flexible entry @ USYD

I answered this question in another thread. Anyone interested can examine the link on the USYD website.

    Fullfee to HECS place

Oh right, I wasn't aware that you could keep trying to transfer from fee-paying to HECS every year. That does make it a more attractive option.

    flexi entry

I searched the USYD website and this is what I've found for you: The Flexible entry scheme considers UAIs up to five points below the normal cutoff. Applicants need to demonstrate their aptitude for the course they are choosing. This can be anything from performance in relevant HSC subjects...

    Fullfee to HECS place

If I was in your position, I would consider a straight degree at UNSW (preferably a degree that can be combined with law), attempt a transfer to combined law after the first year. There are several slight advantages to this: 1. Getting a D average in the first year of your straight degree may be...

    Choice of commerce major

I chose econometrics. It was the only major that I don't hate much (I gave accounting, finance, economics, information systems, international business and political economy all a try).

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - 21 July 2007 (NO SPOILERS)

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows I like the sound of this title. :D Not that I have any sensible theories about what it could mean. The only titles I ever liked were for the first three books, HBP and this. Somehow I can never remember GoF or umm... the other one... oh yes, OotP. They...

    Band 6's in Sydney Paper

I read how 9% of the canditure this year made it onto the Distinguished Achiever's list. That's a great achievement! Almost 1 out of every 10 of 06ers will see their name in the paper. :) Something to be proud of definately, no matter your UAI is. I'll be buying both SMH and the Daily Telegraph...
