    But no, I haven't read the God of Small Things, but I have heard about it, and I do plan to. It's just, at the moment I'm trying to refrain from 'reading for leisure'.. I have so much reading material at the moment, I can't get through it all!! And I should really read Hamlet XD
    But I do plan to, one day, many of my friends have read it and say it's really powerful :)

    WOW that sounds like a fantastic idea!!! !!!! That's sounds so wonderful! I'd love to read it when you're done, or later on maybe we can send each other our work and we can give each other feedback? It's great that you can draw from your personal context too, it will make your work even more empathic... And your research/knowledge will really be able to shine through... Yeah, I bet it will be amazing when you're done!!!

    .... Aaaaand also weaving stuff about relationships in there, most prevalent is the role of single fathers and societies expectations of them, and the impacting strain it puts upon the father/son relationship... challenging masculinity, all that stuff.

    I guess they all sound sorta disconnected concepts but the plot line I came up with does tie them all in together.. hopefully it will work. Does it sound ok? :/

    Haha yeah I am also so scared of showing mine to my teacher! Eeeep! I've only written 500 but... D:

    My concept is... well, at the core, I'm aiming to challenge conservative perceptions of graffiti art, and promote how important it is for our cities and what a beautiful expressive outlet it can be... Basically just getting into the psyche of graffiti artists and expressing the different reasons people choose to do it. Create ruptures in the monotony... ya know. that sort of thing :p

    Then through that I'm finding paralells between the graffiti world and the corporate/business world (although obscure) that show how humans are generally all striving for the same goals, we are just looking for them in the wrong places (ie, money, when we should be being creative..... )

    Endings are always hard for me too though, I never know how a story is going to end until I'm almost finished haha.
    But don't worry, you have 6 months to end your stories, sheesh, I am so jealous of how much you've done!!

    I was actually thinking of doing a suite of short stories too, that was my first idea... hopefully I'll be able to sustain this one for the 8000... obviously never written anything this long before...

    Yeh, I don't get how having the ability to analyse the techniques of a poem will have any relevance when I become an actuary (Fingers crossed), or an engineering.

    Yeah, I actually only have one holiday assignment as such, the rest I've made for myself. I haven't even finished my notes though, which... well, I should have had those done ages ago.

    I'm doing a short story for EEII :D And... well, I'd written about 1000 words but I didn't really have a direction/plot outlined completely... And today I sat down and had a moment of enlightenment, a whole plot idea came to me so quickly, so perfectly, after I've been trying to think of one for months... Sooo it was pretty exciting, and now I'm euphoric XD Back at 0 words though,... I'm starting it soon. Tonight actually ^^
