Yeah i am getting that feel as we are heading towards the end of semester. The mid semester exam we took literally used many of the lecture slides + your understanding. So lecture notes first, then textbook for more indepth info.
Hi Strawberrye, thank you for your time to write these awesome tips!!! Definitely, preparing for labs is so important cos not only for the good reports, but you don't want to waste 3hr of your life having no idea what's going on.
I really like your second tip. Before I was all about studying...
Thanks so much mate :) Yes I agree, want distinction/HD, then make notes using the textbook rather than relying on the lecture notes :headbang:
Good luck with ur studies :)
Thanks a lot for your input :) Really appreciate it! Yep, will start making notes as I go along this semester :)
I just have a bit of trouble trying to take notes from science textbooks. Particularly hate it when JUST ONE line from lecture slide equals half a page in the textbook.
Too true...
So B of Science is HARD, i say it's harder than the other non-science units I have done (including Economics/Commerce/Arts) because
1) I cannot go to lectures unprepared. If I don't understand the lecture slides beforehand, I will most likely come out of the lecture even more confused and...
Honestly, if you have no reasons to fail such as illness and death then you most likely have to repeat BIOL1003. Having distinctions and passes in your other units won't save you from failing BIOL1003. But you can still contact the unit coordinator, they are humans after all and will try to help...

LOL whoever said 'first year should be a piece of cake' is trolling. Hell, I actually thought that HSC was the hardest level in education because of all the emphasis and pressure towards the ATAR but damn i was so stupid to think like that.
Don't worry, you are not alone into thinking Uni is...
You shouldn't waste time thinking or asking this. HSC is about performing your very best at every moment. So get off boredofstudies and continue studying. If you don't go 'hard' now, you're not likely to go 'hard' in October.
I quickly flip through the test to get a feel on how 'much' stuff is in there (how much writing i need to do). I then skim-read the questions (short answers) so my brains can start to think and answers start coming in. If i have time, I will answer the multiple choice by making a mark with my...
Hi guys,
So i accidentally failed the Waiver Test that commerce students have to do because I bloody wrote it in a letter format and didn't think that when they told us to write a 'response' it had to be in an essay format (my little rant) :chainsaw2: So now i have to go to the workshop for...
That's what happened to me too. I spent so long on one page of the Chem textbook making notes. In the end, when I was cramming for trials I didn't even look at my notes but at someone else's notes. If you are spending 10 mins on a page, you are probably making really COMPREHENSIVE notes which...
Hi guys, I got an offer from UTS to do Law in my February round but I haven't responded. I don't really see myself as a solicitor or barrister since the roles to me seem very stressful (like decision making and representing clients in court). But I have always been interested in Law since I was...
