Stay at USYD or move to UTS?

Thanks for the advice. So if I don't need a GPA in the HD range, what would I need? The USYD website states: "Experience suggests you will require an ATAR above 99 or a Tertiary Grade Point Average in the High Distinction range to be competitive to transfer into Combined Law. If you are a...

Stay at USYD or move to UTS?

Hi there, I'm currently going into my 2nd year of a media and comm degree at USYD. I applied for transfer into law at USYD but I was unsuccessful. However, I applied for UTS law and was successful. I accepted the offer, but haven't enrolled (yet). I was wondering, should I stay at USYD and...

What are my chances of an internal transfer into USYD Law?

According to USYD, you need an ATAR of 99 or a WAM above 77 to be competitive. They'll either assess you on your ATAR + WAM, or only WAM, whichever is higher. However, it usually depends on how competitive the applicants are, so the cutoff varies every year. Best of luck!

UTS property economics -> USYD commerce

I got a 67 WAM last year and got an offer for USYD Commerce. I was an internal applicant, though, so I don't know if it makes a difference.

    UNSW LAT results discussion!

Didn't do well either. 60. I agree with you - we should be able to see the marking rubric to know where we went wrong. Oh well. Good luck next year, I hope you get in. :)

    Tutoring for LAT?

Is tutoring for the LAT recommended? I know that UNSW highly suggests against coaching, but what do people generally think?

Possible to learn math at univeristy?

Hi there, I'm currently enrolled in media and communications at Sydney University, as I find an interest in media production and foreign languages. However, I recently grew an interest in business, in particular, finance. The problem is I'm bad at math. I dropped general math in year...

Arts (Media and Communications) or Commerce at USYD?

I'm currently enrolled in media and communications at Sydney. I was initially enrolled in arts in 2015, but applied for transfer for both media & communications and commerce. I received the media and communications offer first, and thus accepted the offer and enrolled. However, I recently got...

    Law @USYD vs @UNSW

Hi Jane, You can do an Arts/Law degree at USYD, with a major in Psychology! There are three main ways you can study psych at USYD: through an arts degree, a science degree, or a psych degree. USYD also has a strong focus on international law, so this will also benefit you.

Law Students: What is studying law really like?

This thread is really helpful. I'm currently an arts student at Sydney. I planned to transfer to law next year. However, considering how I'm going this semester, I don't think I'll be able to. Sometimes, I question if law is even right for me - I got an ATAR of 90 and the cut-off for law is...
