    Photoelectric Effect?

intensity and frequency are totally different properties. The frequency is the number of waves per second, and that is how we classify the EM Spectrum - high frequency is Gamma ---> Radio waves have a low frequency. Intensity refers to the amount of photons something emits. Intensity...

    urgent chem help please!

work out how many moles of OH- there are how many moles of H+ there are, and hence which one is in excess, and by how much [this is because k+ and no3- just dissolve in water) then u know volume = 25+20 = 45 mL = .045L then apply the pH/pOH formula so for OH-: n=cV =...

    Induction concluding statements

true, at uni we've been taught to use a simple conclusion like "Hence the statement is true for all n≥0 by the principle of mathematical induction" Having said that, i find that at year 12 3Unit level, having the conclusion i wrote above helps students grasp what it is they are doing (proving...

    Induction concluding statements

I was taught: Therefore we have shown if the statement is true for n=k, it is also true for n=k+1. As it is true for n=1, it is hence true for n=2, hence n=3, n=4, etc. i.e. it is true for all positive integral values of n, by the principle of Mathematical Induction.

NSW to dump UAI! New Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)

http://www.uac.edu.au/documents/atar/ATAR-Conversion-Table.pdf It seems anyone who got 99.75 UAI or above pre-2009 has a 'slight' advantage, wherease those who receieved a UAI 99.15 or less has a slight 'disadvantage' in that between those values, UAI = ATAR 99.75 and above the number...

    Acid base Question

I dont understand what the problem is? U learn how to draw lews dot diagrams in year 11, and you have to do it in the ozone chapter in Topic 3 of the HSC course - so yes u need to know that. Also, in that same ozone chapter of topic 3, u are required to learn what a co-ordinate covalent...

    Acid base Question

H has one electron H+ does NOT (its an ion...) thats why when we talk about 'proton donors' we talk about H+ - they are just a proton, with no electron (at least the isotope Hydrogen-1) Also, OH- has 3 lone pairs okay see it in pictures...
