Maybe you are capable? Although I'm going to take your word for it. Tbh, I'm not sure what to do about your Dad's attitude, maybe talk to him about it and even mention how you would be almost guaranteed a Band 6 in general because you're good at maths, but just not 'capable' enough for mathematics.

That's stupid. Unless you would get better marks in mathematics (due to scaling), enjoy it or require it for a course then doing mathematics instead of general doesn't have much of a point. (I don't know why I'm arguing against it... I love maths)

Then you may as well go to sleep :) Setting two alarms helps :), and maybe even having your notes beside your bed so you don't even have to get up :).
