    by law no, you can do esl course if you lived in australia for less than 5 years. a friend of mine was born here, but she was so bad with english eventually teachers let her do esl course.

    it depends what course you are doing, if you came to australia months ago (with no english) and did standard english you are marked for standard english (majority of students are native speakers). it really depends on students not their background, there is a lot of migrants which do 3 unit...

    i met about 5 people, but lunches and breaks i usually spend with people i knew before eg my classmates, old friends.

    on tuesdays i work 6 hours before uni starts and wednesdays after uni till 10. my uni and work is balanced at the moment so far so good.

    working and studyng did affect me, i was just too tired and didnt do school work, but my friend worked 4 days a week during years 10,11 and 12 and managed to get uai of 99.7. i dont know how she did it

    i used to go to school overseas, we called teachers by their first name and surname, they called us( students) by our surname. in australia its opposite
