Did anyone design a book for there MDP?

While I did a magazine for my MDP, you might want to look into the programs Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Quark. They're the ones used predominantly within industrial settings. In terms of printing, I got mine printed at a place called 'Lindfield Print'. I'm sure any printing house (not a...

    work load???

Not much in regards to regular/weekly homework (in my experience, anyway), but there are quite a few huge assessments. Also, the sheer amount of content you actually have to learn is a little frightening at first. In comparison to other 2u subjects I've taken, it's probably the one which covers...

    best way to memorise....

Read notes aloud over and over, then try saying/writing them without looking down at your notes. If you can't do it, keep reading aloud. Always works for me :)

    All done. Done and dusted.

I'M DONE! :D I think I'm in shock lol. It's just so unbelievable. I can finally watch movies without subconsciously looking for related material :p

    Parents?

Re: Something that made you say "my parents are so naive" Oh, sneaky reverse psychology... nice :p At least they manage to motivate us somehow! (On a totally random note, I can officially count down the hours :D *dies from happiness*)

    Parents?

Re: Something that made you say "my parents are so naive" Lol I'd get the "Well it's your life" guilt trip if I said that :p Nah, they're great though.

    Your teachers

English (& Ext 1): Literally the god of all english teachers. She's just incredible! I've had her for 3 consecutive years, and I couldn't be more thankful. Seriously... best teacher ever :D She always makes the effort to respond to our emails within about 0.2 minutes, and she's constantly...

    Parents?

Re: Something that made you say "my parents are so naive" Haha yeah I do that a lot. They always just ask "So how are the past exam papers going then?" ;)

    kill the hsc

Mine tend to be ridiculous fits of simultaneous crying and laughing haha. I had more throughout the course of the year actually. I think I'm so used to them now that they're just becoming my normal behaviour :p

    Who's effing bored of studying?

Gah, I'll be done in... *calculates*... roughly 18 hours :D Totally tired of studying lol. I just want it to be over already!

    What's Modern History Like?

Re: What's Yr 12 Modern like? Haha I love it when subjects conveniently overlap. Makes the pain a little more worthwhile :p

    What's Modern History Like?

Re: What's Yr 12 Modern like? Aww, your teacher sounds quite horrible :( Mine is literally a walking encyclopedia. So passionate about history, so dedicated to his job, and he somehow manages to teach us in a manner which actually allows information to sink into our brains. When it comes time...

    What's Modern History Like?

Re: What's Yr 12 Modern like? Yeah, no WW2 :( We actually did a little on the Boer War as part of another module, and I remember it being quite interesting. If your teacher makes learning boring, do your own learning :) Half the fun in modern comes from extra reading and your own independent...

    What's Modern History Like?

Re: What's Yr 12 Modern like? WW1 is by far the worst, and each of the following subjects get so interesting later on. Each of the modules has a lot more diversity than the core topic, so definitely... it gets better :D

    History Question Plz

I think both the 'personal background' and 'historical context' are pretty much integrated with a discussion of the individual's life already. In regards to personal background, I took that as Trotsky's early life, development of beliefs, early political work (eg school in Odessa, son of two...

    who took a gamble?

I saw that the 2007 paper had Gorbachev and his policies as one of Russia's extended responses, so I neglected to study that section ;)

    Exam Superstitions??

I always wear my two lucky bracelets to school, and then take them off just before the exam (because they actually interfere with my writing :p ) Oh, I'm definitely the same. I find it so scary lol.

    Crime Fiction Sucks

That actually made my head hurt. Nah, I like crime fiction :) There are definitely some dull parts to the subject and the conventions can get a little tiresome, but that's where the extra research comes into it. There are so many genre-blending and convention-subverting texts which are truly...
