Maths Dillema - To drop, or not to drop?

If you are looking to drop physics too maybe you should maths for now (or drop to general math), depending on what your other subject selections are (if you want to pick up ee2 or something). you have to make sure you have at least ten units to work with if you want a uai.

    Changing the Subject

    i could've sworn i saw this exact question asked before -3x-8y-12=0 add 8y to both sides 8y = -3x -12 divide both sides by 8. y = -3/8 x -12/8 = -3/8 x -3/2

    Should I take my L's?

In a place like Wollongong where public transport is a bitch then yes. I can see the lack in motivation for driving in Sydney siders as public transport is heaps good there and there's so much traffic congestion if you do drive. But seriously though sooner or later you will want your P's...

Logic Tests? What type of questions to expect?

Graduate positions? I've helped my sister out with some before. They're not easy to do. From memory they are like IQ tests and they test all sorts of things like logical thinking, some comprehension skill, numeracy, interpreting graphs/charts, identifying patterns and more I'm sure. Some test...

Wollongong college or SIBT,help needed ungently!

Wollongong isn't that great for part time jobs at all (compared to say Sydney anyway). Apart from that Wollongong is not that remote, its a regional centre only 90 minutes by train to Sydney and you have everything you need in Wollongong anyway. I've never heard of SIBT so can't help you there.

    Transfering :S

you always have UNCLE to fall back on. if you want to apply for SCU then do so, if they offer you a spot great and then withdraw/cancel your deferral with UNCLE but if you can't then you always have UNCLE to fall back on.

    Maths programming

in maths degrees you will probably do C or C++ or something similar and use a fair few maths/stats programs. its obviously an advantage to have a background in programming but its not necessary. it definitely helps to be good at maths because programming does requires systematic/logical thinking.

    Locus and the Parabola

    x = 4t, t = x/4 y = 2t2 = 2 * (x/4)2 = x2/8 dy/dx = x/4 sub x value of P to find the gradient = 8/4 = 2 then use point gradient formula y - y1 = m(x-x1) y-8 = 2(x - 8) 2x - y - 8 = 0 fixed now.

    < 18 UOC for a Fulltime Student?

not really sure what you're asking? if you withdraw then you will be classified as part time (if its 6cp/subject) but if you want to study part time you can.

What marks will get me a UAI of 85+%

Robert Frost's "the road not taken" HELP

Avoid abbreviations (i.e. always write "The Road Not Taken" not TRNT) as English markers hate it. Look into the first and last stanzas as well they give you a better idea of what the poem is really about and what Frost is saying about journeys
