Does Biology get better in year 12?

Nah, English definitely has rote learning, whether that'd be remembering quotes + techniques or a generic essay. And LOL, I call bullshit on memorising 15 stories - if that's the case, then you're doing the creative writing wrong). And just remember that whilst rote learning works in high...

How to memorise exact values for trig?

So some here have said that you can just derive via the triangles, yet others say that you must rote learn the exact values for trig. But isn't maths all about grasping the concepts and not rote learning; or does it have to do with 'knowing' niche shortcuts to help you get to the answer...

    Struggling to write essays

Tbh, I think you're just stressing out. Rarely will you find someone who can create the "perfect" essay in their first draft (unless you're a gun English student [only accounts for 5% of the state imo]). So quit fretting and take your time, you will slowly write top quality essays through...

Is rote learning really necessary for HSC.

Hi all, As the title states, do you need to have the ability to rote learn to succeed in year 12? Like, applying your knowledge to paper is crucial but from the way I see it - this can't be done without memorising the content first. So yeah, people what are you suggestions as to how to rote...

    PHYS1001 Prerequisites

Don't mean to sound ignorant as I don't take high school science anymore, but why is that the case? I thought that HSC physics was relevant to its uni counterpart.

What's the difference between a radical and peroxide?

This is also true. I just didn't understand OP's question as it was taken out of context slightly lol.
  17. teridax

What's the difference between a radical and peroxide?

A radical as an initiator are substances that produce atoms which do not have a full outer shell of electrons, so a covalent bond would be left loose. That's pretty much what it is. (and peroxide isn't an initiator lmao; it's a byproduct of a radical. you may want to recheck your understanding...

Does your homework take up most of your study/revision time?

especially english in regards to comprehension questions, and writing a page on what you have learnt from discovery - such bullshit lol

this is kind of embarrassing but can someone help me with year9 maths

If you wanna save time, step two is not necessary. Just multiply the 1st constant by the 3rd constant, 2nd by 3rd, 2nd by 4th and 1st by 3rd. Immediately, you will get the third step where simplification is required. But yeah, binomial products is the product of two binomial expressions, as a...

Help on choosing the right subject

As someone who did science in year 11 who dropped it in year 12, this isn't necessarily true. Whilst a lot of of HSC Science is rote learning, many topics, particularly in chem and phys require understanding.
