I know, it totally sucks. Not only would you be paying more but you miss out on all the great stuff they do in the colleges. I really hope it won't be too expensive, I can live with $150 - $180, but more than that and I'll have to start digging into my savings until I find a bit of work up...

Not that I've done any subjects at ANU, but in my experience at Melbourne uni, just about anything with the word 'marketing' in it is usually pretty interesting, easy and 'fun'. Intro to business law is also good, because they keep it pretty basic yet some of the topics you cover - contracts...

I'm in exactly the same position. Haven't gotten anything expect for that email about the pre-departure. Does anyone know if its worth going to? Have you gone onto the ANU website and accepted your offer though?

Personally I'd go with the mid range Macbook, but then I'm an Apple fan from way back. The model with the DVD burner is only $1749 (that's the education price btw) and at the moment you can get a free iPod Nano if you buy one (or $200 cash back on any other iPod purchase). They're great little...

Just gave the accommodation people a call and they said that the next round of offers are most probably going to go out later this week or even early next week. All of the colleges are waiting for people to accept/reject the first round of offers they sent out and then as places become available...

My accommodation status still hasn't changed on the website. :( It still has Fenner Hall at the top (but my 1st pref was B&G) and has said 'academic offer made' since Friday. I hear mixed things about Fenner...is it really that bad? Should I look at other alternatives? I just don't want to...

Sounds like we're in the same boat then. I don't know whether to call about accommodation or not. Some people on this site have got their offers already, so it might not hurt to call and check whats going on.
