Ever thought about what you REALLY want as a career?

Remote Area Nurse/Midwife is pretty much what I want to do, however I'd love to get into the Aerial Medical Services in the Top End, or a disaster Nurse. At the end of the day, what I really want, more than anything in the world is to be a mum :D

    degrees in demand

True that ;). Job security is pretty good, but you need to enjoy what you're doing or else you'll be miserable forever... ;) What are you planning on teaching cro? Rumour, you dont need a degree ya know. I'd prefer not to have to go to Uni personally, and instead do an apprenticeship and...

    B. Nursing

So, who here is a nursing student? I've noticed a fair few, and thought what they hell aye? I'm at 1st year at CSU and don't think I've had so many shots in 2 months before....Tetnus yesterday and my arm hurts. alot. Just curious, anyone who has done the enrolled nurses program, I'm think...

    B Nursing

Sydney university was completley and utterly shithouse for nursing as it was, it was good they got rid of the useless degree. Nurses told me that Sydney University was the worst uni in the state for Nursing - they care only of money, and the pracs and completley usless too. There was a reason it...

    Teaching Pdhpe

    Distance Education

I was thinking about part time - it just means I'll have to wait 6 years for my degree. I'm considering applying for work with Orange Base hospital, or even Dubbo Base. I'd love to stay in Bathurst, but the Base hospital is horrible. Orange would be my first choice however - which means I'd move...

    Distance Education

I took a year off between school and Uni quite enjoyed working (and the money). I started Uni this year and while I love the social life, I the work and I miss the money and I want to go back to working, however I want my degree too. Does anyone study through distance education? What's it...

Muslim cleric: women incite men's lust with 'satanic dress'

Well, instead of patronising me, perhaps you may like to read my previous posts. I have said I know muslims from Eastern states in the Middle East, such as the Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman etc and they are lovley people. It's not the religion. It's Lebanese men who more often than not are muslim...

Muslim cleric: women incite men's lust with 'satanic dress'

I believe I did say previously I don't blame religion, as Islam in it's purest form is one of the most peaceful religions in the world, did I not? It's men who have twisted and contorted the Qu'ran to suit their own agenda. Furthermore I said Catholism and christianity in general was not perfect...

    ANZAC day 05

LOL! I didn't make the Dawn Service this morning, but apparently Bathurst Council stuffed up with the sprinklers down near the service, and so a whole group of people got soaked this morning when they came on....stupid Bathurst Council. The breakie was great when I was a kid, all this free...

    The ANZACs... Should we remember?

I think it is more of comemoration than celebration. ANZAC day services are extremley somber - it rouses alot of emotion in many people. The Ode, the Last Post, the feeling of the occassion. The services are to pay respect and remember. The RSL later on in the day is a different story, but if...

    ANZAC day 05

Marching for the local RSL when I was a kid was awesome. Anyone else march with their Youth Club? Get the massive breakfast with ice cream and chips and soft drink afterwards in the function hall. Didn't realise at the time, but most of the adults were in actual RSL playing two up and drinking ;)

    The ANZACs... Should we remember?

Should we remember and pay our respects? Easy answer: Yes. You're a rude bastard in my eyes if you think we shouldn't ;)

If theres a Mid-Day service in Bathurst, I'm going. Just need to find one first.

    ANZAC day 05

I went to the big one at Martin Place last year, it's getting massive turnouts now. Usually went to my local RSL march, I was part of the Youth Club since I was 6, so ;) Didn't go this year unfortunatly, and am feeling rather guilty now though. Will definatly make an apperence at the RSL today...

    nazi flag

Federation was 1901 yes, however Australians were still classed as british subjects up until at least the second world war - I have my grandparents war records to verify this too. ;) Wolf3D was my favorite game as a kid. I loved it ;)

Muslim cleric: women incite men's lust with 'satanic dress'

Please, go back through my posts and find any reference that I support George Bush and his actions? I agree, he's guilty too. I have friends who say their family was better off in Iraq before the invasion. However, we are not arguing who is at fault sunshine. I'm pointing out the crap I get delt...

Muslim cleric: women incite men's lust with 'satanic dress'

Yes, this is based on my experience. We would be called racially discriminating names, we'd be bullied and told we deserved it BECAUSE WE ARE AUSTRALIAN. Teachers would allow it to happen, they'd see it and we'd have to deal with it on our own. But the moment we made a racially degrading...
