Help me - I'm in a sticky spot..

*gulp* I didn't know that.. I thought I could work two jobs in the Christmas break. One at Maccas and one at some other retailer. I just applied for K-Mart. If I get the interview for another store after getting the job at Maccas, what should I do? Melsc, I'm sure I will earn less than $6000...

Help me - I'm in a sticky spot..

I think you didn't read some of my above posts... I never said I wanted to drop out. I said, I wanted to find FULL-TIME work for the School holidays, and work two jobs next year, when I start year 11. The school says we're allowed to SIGN OUT this year and SIGN IN next year only if we have a...

Help me - I'm in a sticky spot..

I'm looking to work two jobs in the long Christmas break, and part-time next year. I guess, I want to work for the experience and because it gives me something fun to do outside of school. School can be tough, and I've always enjoyed work because it lets me get my mind off things while earning...

Help me - I'm in a sticky spot..

I think I'm going to ask for a transfer beginning next year. I tried out for Liverpool Mega Center but I didn't make it, and it's closer to my home as well. But what will the manager think? :uhoh: It's a problem because since I'm applying for other jobs [all have to be part-time/casual] my work...

Help me - I'm in a sticky spot..

Year 10 is almost over [3 weeks left] and I DESPERATELY want to take leave and sign out for FULL-TIME work. The School says first they need a letter from parents and employer [to-be in my case] saying I'll be required from so and so date.. 1. I'm 16, in NSW and I have my first job interview at...

    Inquiry into Exam Supervisors!

I'll just have to wait for my papers to come in the mail sometime late December. To be honest I didn't expect the appeal to be be upheld so soon, although I have an inkling that mentioning Peace Day and Patrick Dodson [whom I wanted to mention during my Extended Response on Changing Rights and...

    Inquiry into Exam Supervisors!

It means I was successful with my appeal. The acknowledgement slip is proof that the appeal has been upheld (successful) and is kept by the student who lodged the appeal.

    Inquiry into Exam Supervisors!

Good news. I submitted my appeal in today in the morning and it was upheld and I was given my Acknowledgement Slip. Thank you very much to all who helped me leading up to today. It wasn't an easy task but I was determined to see this through, so I'm relieved it's all over.

    Inquiry into Exam Supervisors!

You don't understand. This matter is bigger than 'just a few marks' and it does not involve exclusively ME. I know of other peers in my year who have been led to believe that they were not allowed to request for more examination papers, by the Presiding Officer. Try to understand where I'm...

    Leaving After Exams...

Hmm, since the exams are over I'm looking for work.. preferably FULL time. I wonder if I can do what you said.

    History MC

Weren't that guy standing next to one of those SOS ladies? Personally, if I were marching in a protest, I wouldn't be near someone whose views' differs greatly from my own. And about the sign.. I think what he was trying to say was, fight on your own soil, in your own country.

    Results back but no Papers?

Do you really have to KNOCK me? Look, I'm just curious about my marks okay. There was no need for you to cut me down. Once I know my marks the papers don't really concern me anymore.

    Results back but no Papers?

This is a joke. I don't mean to be all down in the dumps, but REALLY. If we don't get our papers back, how in the world are we supposed to know what our marks were in each section? I heard from teachers, that the Board doesn't even give you a simple breakdown of how well you did in each...

    History MC

I think it was the Liberal-Country Party because during the Petrov Affair, people were accusing the Labor Party of being Communist-Sympathisers and it was Robert Menzies [I think] who was the one that made the speech to ban the CPA.

English - Letter to the Editor

LOL. I wrote from a mother's perspective, about how pissed off at the editor she was for wrongly portraying teenagers as foolish, irresponsible and disrespectful in relation to their use of mobiles and technology marketed at teenagers. It was very brief, and I don't think I wrote as much as I...

    History MC

A lot of people put State I is true, Statement II is false, BUT if you look at the question immediately after that, it asks, "What do both sources reveal? --> It showed the Moratorium Movement in Action is the most likely answer. AND, if it is the right answer, then BOTH STATEMENTS HAVE TO BE...

    Inquiry into Exam Supervisors!

But, I looked at the HIGH-RANGE SAMPLE ANSWERS by students of the previous years' History paper and they WROTE A LOT, probably more than what's 'allowed' since the answers were high-range, I doubt they got any less than 14/15. The whole thing is screwd. So who's wrong? My teachers or the...

Lee waited for the phone to ring..

I think I rembered mine - Lee waited for the phone to ring. - Lee sat in the corner of his room looking at the windows on the other side. - The Room was pitch black and the winds were blowing against the windows and doors - Lee remembered watching the weather report earlier. The weather lady...

    Inquiry into Exam Supervisors!

So I was doing my History/Geography Paper yesterday, and before the exam started, the Supervisor lady was reading out the BOS' Guidelines and Rules. Then she went on to say, "We advise you to keep to the lines. If you decide you have made a mistake, there is space at the bottom for you to change...
