    General thoughts

Got 18-20 in multiple choice, 47-50 next part, 17-20 genetics option. Not sure if I should be depressed or happy.

    Biology 2013ers MARATHONN

Hmm.. I will use bt cotton and insulin production as examples. It makes sense now. I was focusing too much on where gene cloning occurs I guess.

    HSC Biology Progression

Cell-mediated immunity vs antibody-mediated immunity. This says that cell-mediated immunity is used by T cells and is effective against: bacteria and viruses that are inside cells; protozoa, fungi, flatworms and roundworms; cancerious cells and transplanted foreign tissue. Antibody mediated...

    Biology 2013ers MARATHONN

Yea, but what other examples would you use? Also, insulin production occurs in bacteria. I thought about using bacteria for that question, but I googled it and it's neither an animal or a plant. This asks for animals and plants. That's the part that I don't understand, how you'd use *gene...

    HSC Biology Progression

They both defend against viruses except B cells do it outside of cells and T cells do it inside of cells. Source: HSC Biology in focus, p291.

"Evaluate the current use of gene cloning in animals and plants." (7 marks) Does anyone know the answer to this? It's from the 2003 HSC paper (genetics option); there are no sample answers. I thought that gene cloning referred to processes such as the production of insulin? How would this be...

    senior science

This was legit the easiest paper I've ever seen. It was a welcome change from the slaughtering I took yesterday in general maths. Had time to plan most big questions and managed to walk out 15 mins early.

    Section I - Multiple Choice

That is an interesting question, but after looking at it on google, everything says that it's 5/36.

    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

If there's more than one answer and they contradict each other, the marker looks at all answers and gives out marks for the correct answer, and takes off marks for the incorrect answer. I asked my teacher that a few days ago.
  10. C

Anyone know what they got for the following questions...

    9. a 11.d 13. b 17. c 22. d 23. a 24. c 25. d SHOULD be right. Too lazy to check the rest.

    Section II

h=6a+b 170=6*15+b 170=90+b 170-90=b 80=b Or something like that. 170 and 15 were points on the graph. Btw, has anyone else started drinking already due to how bad they went?
  12. C

    Section II

The graph didn't start from 0 so the y-intercept couldn't be worked out that way.
  13. C

    Section II

    I'm wondering what everyone got for 28 b) iii because that wasn't immediately obvious. I got h=6a + 80

    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

That question came up in past exams that I did (not sure which, could be CSSA or HSC). In that past exam, they included the medicare levi.
  15. C

Anyone else think this exam was harder/more time consuming compared to past years ?

Re: Anyone else think this exam was harder/more time consuming compared to past years A few people in my class did not finish in time.
  16. C

    Section II

I said that he should add 160 mL though and not 60 :((((
  17. C

    Section II

    I got 160 mL too
  18. C

    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

No, I think she had to pay some amount of money still.
  19. C

    Section I - Multiple Choice

I just looked at 21 again and can't remember if I put A or B. At this point I'm thinking it's definitely A. Dear god I hope I put A.
  20. C

    Section I - Multiple Choice

Yea, I don't think they explained it very well.
