HSC 2016 MX2 Integration Marathon (archive)

Re: MX2 2016 Integration Marathon ah yes 2010 question 8 was a 15 mark integration question? Also attempt anyone except paradoxica his insight is to good for such a crap question: \int \frac{(x+1)^4(x-1)^2\sqrt{x^4+x^2+1}}{(x^2+1)^2(x^6-1)} dx

The Four unit advanced level marathon...

    4>2 \therefore $ If you do 4 unit you're smarter than if you do extension 2. $

    Does God exist?

I've spoken about laws of the universe and laws of God before. God will not help you if you don't satisfy the laws of the universe. For example I can't ask God to win the lottery (Assuming gambling is allowed in this example) if I don't buy a lottery ticket. It's just not the way God does...

    Re: HSC 2016 3U Marathon \phi = \sqrt{1+\sqrt{1+\sqrt{1+...}} \int{\sqrt{x+\sqrt{x+\sqrt{x+...}}}dx $ I learnt golden ratio from questions like this. $

    Re: HSC 2016 3U Marathon $ Hint: Take note that $ \phi ^{2n} +\phi ^{-2n} = (1+\phi)^n + \frac{1}{(1+\phi) ^n} $ Use induction and double assumption. $

Re: Flop math question thread Why would I add another operation to the formula lol ? It's not something worthy of being memorised.

    Re: Flop math question thread Okay so how you determine these is like this : $ If $ 0< \theta < \frac{\pi}{2} \sin{x} = \theta x= \sin ^{-1}(\theta) \pm 2 \pi k $ or (using ambiguity of sin in first and second quadrant ) $ x= \pi - \sin ^{-1}(\theta) \pm 2 \pi k

Re: Flop math question thread Its finding all values for a trig equation. Eg: \sin{(x)} = 0 x= \pm \pi k $ Where k is any integer $
